“Čvor” or “knot” in Serbocroatian is David Soda’s second artist book in our edition. The elegant little photo diary was printed in May 2023 during a month long residency in the workshop. David is exploring screen printed photography and the interplay between grayscales and rasters, noise and detail, movement and contrast. You lose some and you win some, you move on but a part of you stays behind. Documenting all these meetings is both sentimental and romantic, so the translation from grayscale to screen tone adds sound and vibrations to memory. The print on the paper is a souvenir, something to hold on to while making up your mind.
