ZAMAK JE ZAMKA – THE CASTLE IS A TRAP
Sofija Pašalić is a print maker, illustrator, animator and member of the untameable art collective Matrijaršija in Belgrade, Serbia. She has studied graphic arts and bookmaking and is continuously pushing the creative boundaries of her craft. Her illustrations are fast, strong, playful, often dealing with people and their motions-emotions in our consumerist online landscape. Shoppers, robots, commercials, constant stream of impressions, live stream of images, contemporary life isn’t that bad – just stupid and impossible. Heroes and heroines, gradients and fades, street art, generic “people”, vanity fair, paper dolls, humanoids, digesting billboards, the endless scroll, hit radio, youtube videos, a shopping mall point of view.
DJ LENKA (BELGRADE) will paint the exhibition in sound at the opening!

SAMPLERMAN (BRITTANY)
The mighty Samplerman is descending on Gothenburg for a one-night show at Kinesiska Muren! The tu-tu-tuuuut and the bang-bong-bam of golden comic era recycling, chewing his way through classic vintage strips like a lawn mower and spitting it all out again in mindbending, hallucinogenic, surrealistic collage frescos. This ordinary grey gentleman from the windy French coast of Brittany has so many rabbit holes to show you. The exhibition will include several new graphics printed for the show by Longest Night and Samplerman’s recently published book Bdetruite out from Le Dernier Cri in 2025.

FIJUK MIDWINTER MARKET
Fijuk Midwinter Market is the biggest event of the year for graphic art, books, artist books, small press, fanzines, comics, illustrations, self-published, hand-made printed matter. The fair gathers a messy crowd of local artists and international guests from Brussels to Skopje. Everybody is travelling with paper, all that glitters is gold, from hand to mouth, from hand to heart, all roads lead to Järntorget!

OLIVER MAARUP + NANNA ANNA (COPENHAGEN)
NÅR MØRKET FALDER – WHEN DARKNESS FALLS
Prints, monotypes, drawings and a mirror book by two graphic artists that started copying each other until no one could tell the original from the copy. Oliver Maarup and Nanna Anna are two young printers from Copenhagen, they draw smooth on hand with shadow and light, free hand now or nevers, folk tale happiness and the joy of turning ordinary things into vibrating totems. The exhibition includes original monotypes from their newly released book “Nemesis” as well as new and old work from Nanna and Oliver.
