See-Saw is a screen printed artist book by Rakel Bergman Fröberg, collecting images from her raw wood block drawings. Sisterhood, motherhood and different psychological states of the physical body spill out on the pages, the heavy duty from her wood cuts translates into smooth dancing lines on fat black paper. Ordinary movements and objects are charged with mythological power and speak loudly about intimate realms. The sisters are inseparable from each other, from their skin, from their ancestors, from their children. And still the human flesh is just a branch on a tree.
Rakel Bergman Fröberg is an artist from Gothenburg working with anything her hands get entangled with, never shielding the personal from the public. She often collaborates with her twin sister Tekla Bergman Fröberg.
