“Petrova Gora” large format screen printed poster by Marko Krojač, hand colored by the artist. The poster was printed together with Marko during his residency at Longest Night in June 2026. Petrova Gora or The monument to the uprising of the people of Kordun and Banija is a modernist Yugoslav World War II memorial on Veliki Petrovac, a hill in the Petrova Gora range of Croatia. The monument was designed by sculptor Vojin Bakić. It has been left to decay since the breakup of Yugoslavia.
Marko Krojač learned photography on the streets of Berlin in the early 90’s as a part of the squatting movement. In the early 2000’s Marko’s base was in Pančevo/Belgrade and he started criss-crossing the map of ex-Yugoslavia with his camera, creating a close-to-complete arhive of the decaying monument heritage of the former socialist republic. Since 2013 he is a member of the Berlin screenprint collective Czentrifuga and continue to explore photography through printmaking, hand coloring and book binding.
